By booking a spot, joining a waitlist, or administering a game through Day Ones, you agree to these terms.
Day Ones is a booking and roster-management tool. Each game is run independently by its own admin, who sets the price, venue, and roster rules and is responsible for actually running the session. Day Ones is not a party to the game itself — we facilitate booking, payment collection, and communication between players and admins.
Card payments are processed by Stripe at the time of booking. Cancelling more than 24 hours before a session gets a full automatic refund; cancelling within 24 hours of a session, or not showing up, forfeits the payment — this is stated plainly before you confirm a booking or a late cancellation. If you pay by Zelle or Venmo, your spot is held as pending until the admin manually confirms the money arrived; refunds for these payments are handled manually by the admin, not automatically.
Sign-in is by phone number and a one-time text code — there's no password. Keep access to your phone number secure, since it's how we verify it's you. Sessions stay signed in for 30 days of activity on a device.
Late cancellations and no-shows are logged automatically to your phone number and are visible to the admins of every game you play in on Day Ones — this is how admins decide who to prioritize off a waitlist. Admins may also flag a player for their own game only; that flag is private to them.
Day Ones is provided "as is." We don't control what happens on the field and aren't responsible for the conduct of players or admins, the condition of a venue, or a session being cancelled or changed by its admin. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid through the app for the booking in question.
We may update these terms as the product changes. Continuing to use Day Ones after an update means you accept the revised terms.
