Day Ones

Privacy Policy

Last updated July 19, 2026

Day Ones ("we," "us") provides booking, payment, and roster-management tools for recurring pickup sports games. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices — including around SMS text messages.

Information we collect

When you book a spot, join a waitlist, or sign in, we collect your name and mobile phone number. Payment card details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe — we do not store your full card number. If you pay by Zelle or Venmo, the admin manually confirms receipt of payment outside the app.

How we use your information

We use your phone number to verify your identity via a one-time text code, to send booking confirmations and reminders, and to notify you about waitlist offers, schedule changes, or cancellations for games you've booked. We use your booking and cancellation history to enforce the cancellation policy shown at booking (tracked by phone number, shared across every game on Day Ones, since it reflects your reliability as a player generally).

Text messages (SMS)

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Your number is used only to operate the service, and is shared only with the vendors who help us do that: Twilio (message delivery) and Stripe (payment processing).

Message frequency varies with your activity — typically 1–4 messages per week for an active player (booking confirmations, reminders, waitlist offers, and occasional schedule-change alerts), plus a one-time code whenever you sign in on a new device or after your session expires.

Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP at any time to opt out of non-critical messages. Reply HELP for support. One-time sign-in codes are excluded from opt-out since they're required to complete sign-in.

Data shared with others

We share data only as needed to run the service: Twilio (to send SMS), Stripe (to process payments and payouts), and the admin of a game you play in (who can see your name, phone, teammate status, and payment status on their own roster — never your card details).

Your choices

You can stop receiving non-critical texts at any time by replying STOP. To request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it, contact us at the email below.
